This 2009 paper provides an overview of how the cities engaged in the Sustainable Cities: PLUS Network learn. It has been compiled through participant observation and a survey of members of the PLUS Network.

At the PLUS Network Biennial Conference in Durban, international delegates completed a survey designed to discover how members learn about urban sustainability, and the impact of their membership in the PLUS Network on their learning.
