Sustainable Cities International is supported by sales of services, by grants, and through contributions from the private and public sectors, international agencies, foundations and individuals.




Based in Durban, South Africa, MILE is the first-ever local government-driven, practitioner-based Institute of Learning. The purpose of MILE is to help enhance the capacity of professionals working in local government on the continent (and beyond), to respond more effectively to meeting the continuum of developmental local government challenges.



AKKADIS designs and runs programs for employees and stakeholders to successfully manage organizational change and transform the world around them.

red la logo-finalRed Ciudades is the Latin American Network for just and sustainable cities, working to meet citizens' initiatives to promote social control of public policy. The characteristics of these programs are: the construction of indicators and access to public information, surveys of perceptions of quality of life, monitoring and advocacy on public policy, citizen participation, and the inclusion of different and various sectors. Red Ciudades recognizes the importance of active citizenship in promoting and achieving true transformation, and that these transformations require further transformation of the state.
