Colleen Curran - Project Officer : Environmental Monitoring Systems

colleen webAfter years of trampling around the rocky mountains and living rurally with four legged creatures, I have decided to hang up my hiking boots, put on my flats, and throw myself at the organized chaos of the city. After all, the city is where most of us live and where positive change can go the farthest. In order to protect the intact environments of the world one needs to look at sustainable city planning to ensure healthy environments for all.

I am excited to be working as a Sustainable Cities Intern in San Fernando city and I can't wait to use my education in geography and experience in geomatics to help develop an environmental monitoring system that allows for a better understanding of the overall health of a city as a complex environment.
