Description
ICSC worked with the Fraser Valley Regional District to support the development of a regional growth strategy and assisted with the completion of two final reports which were applied to the region’s initiatives: A) The "VALTRANS" Report, prepared by Martin Crilly, detailed transportation concerns and possible alternatives for the region. The key traffic management recommendations were incorporated into the draft version of the Regional Growth Strategy. B) A Full-Cost Accounting Report, pioneered by The Sheltair Group, is a set of tools and indicators that allow the municipality to set guidelines and standards for energy and water conservation, and thereby, help to create innovative and cost-effective delivery mechanisms for water, gas, and electricity service. As part of the project, Sheltair designed a "City Green" software package that uses site-specific GIS data within the framework of an Environmental Management System.
