Project Description

The goal of this CIDA- funded project was to demonstrate the use of sludge, seeds and lime to re-vegetate mine waste, in order to provide low-cost, environmentally safe solutions for the Biala Przemsza Municipal Associations sludge problems. This project involved the treatment of sludge in order for it to be applied to soil for landscaping, conducting a seminar for local officials to ensure they accepted the application of sludge to land, and collaborating with the ZGH Boleshaw lead-zinc mine to apply different recipes of sludge, seeds and lime.
