Through the Community Mobilization internship, we have been looking at ways to increase the involvement of women in our programs at Sustainable Cities. This has led to the development of a detailed gender strategy.

Sustainable Cities' gender strategy for our programme in Dar es Salaam is expected to be completed by the end of April 2009. We are excited to incorporate the work that has been done in partnership with Cities Alliance to look at creative and meaningful ways to ensure that we are adequately engaging women in Sustainable Cities' programs .
