Sustainable Cities goes Renewable Cities

From May 13 – 15, 2015 Sustainable Cities International joined an international delegation of municipal leaders at the Renewable Cities Global Learning Forum for a 3 day conference and workshop series on how to accelerate uptake of renewables in urban environments. Guests for this conference came from all over the world – including our SCI Energy Lab participants Leshan Moodliar from the City of Durban and Mark Brostrom, Director of Environment at the City of Edmonton.

The Renewable Cities Global Learning Forum was a great success and left its participants energized with the confidence and passion that a renewable energy future for cities is not an impossible – but instead offers a tangible and positive strategy towards creating more sustainable communities.
